The 2008 Orange County Pop Warner season will start August 1, 2008

The regular season will begin August 1, 2008 and end mid-November 2008 (post season ends mid-December 2008). 2008 season registration forms are now available.
Registration dates are June 1, 2008 and July 13, 2008 (at Cane Creek Baptist Activities Center from 1:30-3:30 pm).
All Football Teams and Cheerleading Squads are formed and filled on first-come, first-serve basis. Practices will be held at the field at Cane Creek Baptist Activites Center (6717 Orange Grove Road).
Practice schedules will be the following: August 1st from 5:30-8pm and August 2nd from 8:30-11am. Beginning August 4th, practices will be Monday through Friday from 6-8pm. Starting August 25th, practices will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5:45-7:45pm (Tiny-mites will only practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays with optional Mondays).
There is a mandatory 20-hours conditioning requirement for both football and cheer in the beginning of the season so attendance is important; therefore, please attempt to complete family vacations by August 1st.
Games are played on Saturdays and are scheduled to start Saturday, August 30th (weather permitting). Game schedules will be determined in mid-late August by the league and OCPW post the game schedules as soon as they are received. Game locations and times will vary depending on the age division. OCPW can travel to any of the association locations in the CFF league (except Fayetteville). Do not assume that all OCPW teams will play away games at the same location; that is usually not the case due to the varying number of teams per age division depending on the association.
Pop Warner has a no tryouts or cuts and there is a mandatory rule that everyone plays in each game. Pop Warner also has an age-weight matrix that ensures kids compete with other kids of similar ages and sizes, reducing risk and reality of injuries. All adults involved from volunteers to coaches must pass annual background checks.
