TM and PW GAMES for 11-4-06 CANCELLED

The make-up games on 11-4-06 for the TM and PW teams have been cancelled by the league board due to the end of daylight savings time. Sorry for any inconvenience that the changes of the schedules may have caused but remember that OCPW has no control over these matters. Thanks for your patience.

END OF SEASON CELEBRATION

It's official! We will finish off OCPW's inaugural season with an End of Season Celebration. Due to the generosity of Blue, they will be providing us at no cost a location in their banquet room. And due to a gracious, anonymous donor whom wants this donation to go specifically to providing for the banquet, OCPW invites you to join us one last time this season as an association. We will have pizza, drinks (open bar at Blue for the adults available), and cake. Certificates will be awarded to all players. We hope to have a slideshow as well (please provide me with any pictures on a disk if possible so we can have a wide variety).

Location: Blue (next to the Holiday Inn on the corner of 15-501 and Ephesus Church Rd)

OCPW ANNUAL MEETING LOCATION CHANGED

Due to the weather, the Annual meeting will not be held at the Lincoln Center. Instead, the meeting site has been changed to the Stough residence (119 Pinoak Ct, 27514) on Tuesday, 10-17-06. The meeting is set to begin at 6PM sharp.

If at all possible, please do not bring your child(ren) if at all possible due to limited space. If it's unavoidable in order for you to attend, please bring them (we hope to make the meeting flow as quickly as possible). We will see you at 6PM.

End of Season Party FYI

Details are to come but the OCPW End of Season Party will be on Sunday, November 5th. This is mainly due to the extension of the regular season due to all the make-up games.

So, mark your calendars for 11-5-06. We're working out the details but it looks like it'll be at Blue. Specific details to come soon.

11-4-06 Make-up game

The TM and PW teams will be playing their make-up game from 9-9-06 on Nov. 4th. The location and times will be announced as soon as OCPW is notified with the information.

Practices for TM and PW will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (Oct. 30th, Nov. 1st, and Nov. 2nd). I am waiting on a response for our application for the Lincoln Center.

BRAX FUNDRAISER

There is now Brax College spirit cups available in addition to the NFL cups that we sold early in the season. It's the last fundraiser of this season and we hope to have as many people participate as possible. It's only going to last a week so please pick up your order forms today.

The cups come in a set of 4 (all of the same team) and are $10/set. Please collect orders and money (cash or check payable to OCPW) at the time of the order.

All orders and money will be due on Monday, October 9th (at practice). Hopefully the cups will be in by the end of October or the beginning of November (depending on the company's stock). Arrangements will be made to distribute the cups upon delivery.

OCPW Annual Meeting

OCPW will hold an annual meeting to elect members to the Board on Tuesday, October 17th, at the Lincoln Center and will start @ 6 PM. This meeting will be in lieu of all practices for that day. If at all possible, please leave children at home. We understand that for some it may not be possible so please bring your child(ren) if needed.

PRACTICE TIME CHANGES

Due it getting darker earlier, practices times starting Monday, October 2nd, will be from 5:30-7:30pm. Please make note of the time changes.
