Chapel Hill-Carrboro Christmas Parade

OCPW will be participating in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Christmas Parade this Saturday, Dec 8th. We will meet everyone in front of the Morehead Planetarium (right side of the parking lot if you are looking at the building from Franklin St) @ 9:15 am. The parade starts @ 10 am and we are near the beginning so please be prompt.

The parade starts at the Morehead Planetarium and will end at Carrboro Town Hall. It is suggested that you park somewhere near the end of the route and walk to the meeting place.

Football players: please dress warmly and a jersey will be brought for you to wear and be returned after the parade.

Cheerleaders: please wear your bodysuits or white turtlenecks under your OCPW jackets with black pants, black or white gloves, tennis shoes, pom poms, and hair bow.

Parents: please dress warmly with OCPW clothing on the outer layer.

If you plan to participate in the parade but did not sign up, please contact us ASAP (orangecountypopwarner@yahoo.com). We will only be pulling enough jerseys for the number of players that have signed up. If siblings not in OCPW would like to join us and wear a jersey, please let us know an age/size ASAP. If you have signed up but now cannot go, please let us know ASAP.

OCPW will be handing out small flyers and peppermints. Parents are encouraged to walk with their players so they are not waiting for you when we reach the end of the route.

Football Clinic

• There will be a football clinic this Sunday, Dec 9th from 1-3pm @ the Cane Creek Baptist Activities Center field (6717 Orange Grove Road, Hillsborough 27278). It is open to anyone whether they participated in OCPW or not.
• The clinic will focus on agility, speed, and fundamentals. There will be NO CONTACT. Participants need to come in cleats only (not necessary but highly recommended).
