HOME GAME VOLUNTEERS

There is a sign-up sheet for volunteers needed for Oct 4th home games at AL Stanback Middle School. Please see Susan Pickard at practices. We thank all volunteers in advance!

SEPT 27TH GAME RESULTS

• TM (0-3): OCPW 0 Wake Forest Lightning 24 (if scores were kept)
• MM (0-4): OCPW 0 Garner Blue 13
• JPW (2-1; 2-0): OCPW 12 Apex Gold 0

All three teams will have home games on Oct 4th @ AL Stanback Middle School (see calendar for game times).

CHANGE IN TIME AND LOCATION FOR JR PEEWEE GAME

Apex had to cancel all their games for tomorrow but we were able to secure a field and refs to host them here.

The JPW vs Apex Gold will be at AL Stanback Middle School (3700 Nc Highway 86 S) @ 10 AM.

Please be at the field ready to warm up by 9 AM. Weights will be conducted first thing so DO NOT BE LATE.

Admissions will be collected but there will be no concessions. There should be a porta-john.

PRACTICE PROCEDURE

Remember that there IS practice even in the rain. The only time it may be canceled is if there is continuous lightning at the field. Missing practice because it's raining is not an excusable reason. Just make sure that you bring some towels for your player/cheerleader to sit on for the ride home.

Also, remember that the building is now kept locked (will bring players/cheerleaders in if lightning ever occurs). So, please encourage your child to go to the bathroom BEFORE leaving for practice.

PICTURES AND VIDEOS

If you have videos or pictures that you have taken at the games, please copy them onto a disk and bring it to Eileen or Bryan. We'd like to get up any and all pictures and photos as well as getting materials for a slideshow that will be shown at the end of the season.

SUPPORT AL STANBACK MIDDLE SCHOOL FOOTBALL

If you would like to support AL Stanback at one of their home games, OCPW players can get in for free if they come to watch in their OCPW game jersey. All their home games are at 4:30 pm. The remaining home games are:

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SEPT 20TH HOME GAME

Please contact your team parent if you can help volunteer for Sat's home games. If you have high school students that are willing to help, please let your team parent know. If the time period that (s)he is able to volunteer for is not for the team's allotted time period, your team parent will notify the appropriate person. Please notify them as soon as possible. Thank you in advance!

COLD WEATHER MERCHANDISE

If you would like to order OCPW LS tees, hooded sweatshirts, windshirts, and magnets, please complete the order form and return with the payment to one of the practices this week. The final orders will be collected by the last game on Sat (Sept 20th). NO ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER SATURDAY (Sept 20th). The items should be in by the end of the month.

For cheer items, there must be at least a minimum of 12 items to place the order with the cheer logo. If there is not enough, I will notify you and return your money.

The LS tees and sweatshirts will look like the spirit pack shirts. The windshirts will have the same embroidered logo as those on the coaches shirts.

OCPW teams next games will be on Sept 20th @ Cedar Ridge High School. The TMs will play @ 10am, MMs will play @ 11am, and JPWs will play @ 12:30pm. Please come out to support our Orange County Tar Heels!

ACTIVITIES CENTER

The activities center building will now be locked during practices. Please make sure that your player or cheerleader uses the restroom before they come to practice. The restrooms will only be unlocked for emergencies.

If you have any problems with your photo orders, please contact the customer service line at 1-800-869-9515 .

The organizational picture is now online (about 1/4 of the organization was not present but it still turned out to be a good picture). If you would like to order the organizational photo, go to http://www.classic-photo.com and look for Orange County Pop Warner once you enter the site. The 8x10 is $15 and the 10x18 (panoramic) is $20.

SEPT 6TH GAMES CANCELED

Due to the shift westward of TS Hanna and the threat of high winds, heavy rain, and tornados, ALL games for tomorrow are canceled.

These games will probably not be rescheduled except for possibly the JPW. The games will be rescheduled if it will affect the standings (for playoffs) so it may not be until later or near the end of the season (if at all). We will let you know if the possibility arises.
